Yes, from the online research I have been doing this seems to be standard procedure for Facebook. I also was left with a disabled account before I even got the whole thing up and running. Still trying to contact someone to get it taken care of but from what I'm reading online I should not hold my breath while waiting.

FACEBOOK -I didn't open an account.

I am just curious why Facebook (and other large companies) can't figure out how to have an email verification system in place before activating an account. I was enjoying a relaxing evening when somebody opened a Facebook account and used my email address. Within 2 hours I received 153 emails concerning my new Facebook account from all my new "friends" and whatever other activity was going on. I found the first email that came from Facebook stating that if this is not your account / wrong email please let us know. Well that link didn't work that night for some reason. How complicated could it be to have an email address verification before the account is activated? My resolution. I logged in, said I lost my password, Facebook sent me a way to restore my password and I closed the account. Somebody else is also probably upset because all their work and stuff is gone. Personally I feel that I received 152 SPAM EMAILS from Facebook due to their lack of a proper system to verify email addresses.

Facebook in Midland, Michigan - Kim Lavigne is control freak with drug problem

Kim is running a facebook page called mid Michigan man stuff. She is banning people for no reason, and trying to charge them for a free site to fund her drug habits. At 42 yrs old you would think getting arrested for possession of narcotics would clue you into what a piece of trash this woman is. Yet she has the ability to control everyday actual law abiding citizens buying and selling on this site. If she doesn't like your post or comment your done. If you don't pay her if you have a small business your done even if your not using your business name. It amazes me Facebook is letting this go on. She is trying to charge for a free site. She is trying to capitalize off something that started out as a great place to buy and sell. Get rid of her Facebook.

This is false. I have sold a lot of stuff and never been asked to pay a dime.

Sounds like someone got banned from the page and they are pissed about it!

Facebook in Phoenix, Arizona - Bad Photos Not Removed

I have a friend who puts disgusting stuff on Facebook, the photos mainly contain either ***/nudity, some type of violence, and a suicidal image/saying. I have reported her photos for those reasons. For example:Today my friend posted 9 photos on Facebook. One of the photos showed a woman with a plastic bag on her head tightly and it looked like if she suffocated. I reported it to Facebook and just 10 minutes ago I got a response from Facebook saying that the photo was not removed. I was extremely furious and dissatisfied that i gave them feedback telling them that i was extremely dissatisfied. Facebook says that they want a nice welcoming environment, but they don't remove photos that actually violate the Community Standards.

I think the best thing you can do for yourself is to unfriend this person. Repeatedly reporting someone you call friend is not actually very friendly.? If you don't like her photos unfriend and block her and you won't need to see them again, ever, see?

Why not "unfriend" this person and be done with it?

Facebook kept turning ads back on, that I turned off and charging all the credit records on my account.

I had turned on an ad for five bucks a day, on for one day. When the likes didn't translate into class inquiries I paused the ads, and went with the much much cheaper event ads. I have a special account I use for things like this. And I needed to wait a week to put the 14 dollars in to cover this out of my next check. I live paycheck to paycheck. They paused the account. I have no problem with that. I needed to give my brother at starbucks card for his birthday, and another to at friend's son who's 16th zombie birthday party I had to miss due to work. We were n bed at night, and my girlfriend was closer to her wallet than I was to mine. So, the starbucks gift cards wre bought on her card. A week went by. I paid the 14 on my card. And my sports page kept getting mysterious likes. I had signed up for facebook out of an old email address, that I have an auto response set for people asking about my sciencefiction selfpublished books. This keeps my current email free from being hammered with facebook notifications every time someone on my exstensive friends list twitches to the left causing them to grunt to the right before the TMI post hits their personal wall. So, I had no idea facebook was sending me receipts for charging me hundreds of dollars. Until my GIRLFRIEND checked her other bank account statement!!!!!!!! They turned the ads BACK ON WITHOUT ASKING ME. ALL OF THEM. I sent a message to them. They told me they didn't care, they had her info, and they were going to charge that account. I asked them to credit the bill, or at least bill the right person. No go. They were going to charge her. I went in and DELETED all the ads COMPLETELY. SHE GOT CHARGED 75 MORE - AFTER PAYING HUNDREDS - out of money we DO NOT HAVE. bare in mind, I have another page on facebook that is very successful as a parody meme(def 2) factory -- and that people actually click and buy stuff from retailers that sell associated material when I post interesting stuff gracefully between the flow of culture. That one has the potential of paying for itself. I would have considered trying another 5 dollars on that page at some point in the future. But, I had not gotten around to making an ad for it, or sharing a post as a promo... and now I swear I never will on facebook even if they do refund her money. So, I deleted the adds. They had them saved!!!!! reposted them, turned them back on, and charged her again. She complained to her bank. And apparently this is happening A LOT! To A LOT of people (EVEN AT JUST) THAT ONE banking institution. They blocked facebook from being able to access her account. If this effects any of our credit we will go with a few lawyers who sees facebook as a deep enough pocket to help us and only charge when we win. But, all I want is her money back, pay the additional ten or so, that I actually own, for the events that I did promote. And for facebook to conduct fair and honest business practices with me. Sincerely, Pissed Consumer f(x)

Facebook - Michael B. is too good for me.

Facebook has scammed me for the LAST time. I am PISSED. Facebook personally asked me to friend Michael ***' B. because we shared a common interest and one mutual friend. but no. No friendship was bred. Facebook has done this time and time again. They are the absolute WORST dating site I have EVER been on. The only way anyone on this god forsaken site has even touched me is thorough this "poke" ***. I'm going back to MySpace. At least the top eight thing made me feel like a real woman. Good bye face book. - VERY PISSED CONSUMER
