New ReviewerI received 6 bills for an ad I placed for a vacation bible school. I had problems with the event brite link and did replace the ad with an updated one.
Both times I placed a $75 spending limit on the ad. So the first two bills for $75 I can understand (though they spent $75 in two days with almost no clicks and a limited geographical area is still a mystery). Then There was another bill for $75, then one for $125 saying that this was my limit. then one for $175 saying that this was my limit, then one for $231.02 saying that this is what my ad costs were for the end of the month.
I am horrified. We are a small church. We set a $75 budget for advertising and were charged $756.02. I contacted Facebook (you can't call them, you can only fill out a complaint).
There response came immediately. There was literally not enough time for anyone to have read the complaint.
They said that I was billed properly and needed to be more careful when placing an ad. So, no actual human sees your complaint and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
User's recommendation: Don't use Facebook ads. If you do, screenshot and copy all transactions with them. There is no way to look it up later.
Monetary Loss: $681.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
